Specifications for ProGlo Marble Polishing Powder - Crystallise & Restore
I'll pop a 5-star shine.
ProGlo is designed for the crystallisation and polishing of floors made of marble and calcareous stones including travertine, terrazzo, and limestone.
The ProGlo polishing process happens through a relationship between special pads, floor patterns, a polishing machine with perfect weight distribution and speed, the chemical compound, correct application and the stone surface itself. This stone polishing system still allows the surface to breathe through microscopic channels in the stone and is non-yellowing. ProGlo delivers the ultimate shine, reflection, durability and economy. It’s also an excellent and cost-effective alternative to conventional methods like sacrificial coatings.
ProGlo is proven to eliminate the need for restoration of the surface down the track. The more you use ProGlo, the harder, more durable and shinier the surface gets!
Where to use
ProGlo can be used on indoor, polished natural stone surfaces including Marble, Limestone, Travertine and Terrazzo. It's suitable on floors, walls, tables, bench tops, bathrooms, showers and anywhere marble, limestone, travertine and terrazzo need polishing.

Marble polishing (professional)
- Preparation - Remove all dry dust, grit, sand, dirt etc from the surface via a powerful dry vac. Remove any other foreign material that may cause scratching in the agitation process. If required, strip any existing surface coatings, and remove any bad scratches or surface damage. Protect the environment surrounding the area (e.g. carpet, walls, furniture, metal surfaces).
- Mix 2 parts ProGlo powder with 1 part water. Use two separate containers to measure, then mix the products together in the applicator bottle. Shake well before use as the product does separate.
- Place a new wetted white polish pad on the floor and line the machine up on top of it making sure the pad is lined up evenly.
- Apply approximately 200ml of the mixed ProGlo onto the top left side of a 3m²
surface area.
- Scrub the product into the surface going over each part of the floor 6 times in slow small anti-clockwise circular patterns, moving the slurry around the entire 3m²
(machine speed <200rpm).
- Add more water if the slurry is too thick or drying out too quickly, or more powder if the slurry is too thin, like water. You want the slurry to be wet/thin, the consistency of a milkshake.
- Remove the slurry with a powerful wet vac.
- Apply Bobby Dazzler diluted 80:1 with water to the surface and wet scrub with a new white super polish pad to remove any chemical residue left over from the process and to leave the surface neutral.
- Remove the slurry from the surface with a powerful wet vac.
- Dry buff the floor with a ‘Wooly’ pad and slow-speed scrubbing machine, passing over the surface in a side-to-side motion North-South and then East-West.
- Optional: Seal the surface and/or grout lines with Pro Seal Ultra invisible penetrating sealer.
Handy hints
- Test first: Always test first in an inconspicuous area before use. Because all surfaces are different, we recommend that you always perform a small test patch in an inconspicuous area to ensure you will get the desired result. A test patch also doubles as a demonstration.
- Results may vary depending on the nature of the stone, the equipment in use and the methodology applied.
- This product is only effective on calcite stone surfaces and should not be used on any other surface.
- Do not let this product dry on the surface, keep it wet and thin and remove it straight after the area has been treated.
- Treat only small sections at a time. 2m² to 3m²
is recommended in most applications.
- Always cover/protect skirting boards, walls, furniture feet, carpet etc and the environment around you before you start. It should not come into contact with metal surfaces, furniture, carpets, painted surfaces or anything other than the stone being polished.
- Do not step in the wet ProGlo slurry.
- Ensure the container is always sealed well and is not contaminated by moisture or other chemicals.
What surfaces can I use ProGlo on?
Indoor, polished natural stone surfaces made of marble and calcareous stones, including marble, limestone, travertine and terrazzo. That covers floors, walls, tables, bench tops, bathrooms and showers.
What surfaces does ProGlo not work on?
Ceramic, porcelain, terracotta, granite, quartz, concrete, sandstone, naturally acid-resistant types of natural stone, or surfaces with topical coatings (sealers that sit on top of the surface).
My stone doesn't shine the way I want. Did I use ProGlo wrong?
Not always. The stone may be damaged to the point where it needs an initial diamond restoration, which is best done by an expert. Another reason may be that the stone has a very low calcite level or is naturally resistant to acids, which you see in some green, brown and black marbles.
How much ProGlo will I need?
In normal use, 5kg of ProGlo covers approximately 100m².
How do I mix ProGlo?
Mix 2 parts ProGlo powder with 1 part water, measured in two separate containers, then mix them together in the applicator bottle. Shake well before use because the product does separate. Aim for a wet, thin slurry the consistency of a milkshake.
How big an area should I treat at once with ProGlo?
Small sections of 2m² to 3m² are recommended in most applications. Apply about 200ml of the mix to a 3m² area and go over each part of the floor 6 times in slow, small anti-clockwise circles at a machine speed under 200rpm.
How do I clean up after polishing?
Remove the slurry with a powerful wet vac. Apply Bobby Dazzler diluted 80:1 and wet scrub with a new white super polish pad to remove chemical residue, then wet vac again and dry buff with a woolly pad.
How do I maintain a floor polished with ProGlo?
Each day, vacuum or dust mop, then mop with Bobby Dazzler at 80:1 using an XO2 microfibre mopping system, or scrub with an automatic scrubber dryer and a white natural fibre floor pad. Buff when needed to remove residues. Commercial super high-traffic areas may need ProGlo every 3 to 6 months, and dulled areas every 6 or 12 months depending on traffic.
Can I seal the stone afterwards?
Yes. We suggest optionally sealing the surface and grout lines with Pro Seal Ultra or Pro Seal Eco invisible sealers.
How can I get an even longer-lasting shine?
Install effective entrance matting at every door to catch dirt and reduce maintenance. Make the mat large enough for 4 steps, so each foot touches it twice.
