Pee Off is ready to use for most jobs. Only dilute it for floor mopping. Always wear nitrile disposable gloves when working with urine.
Dog, cat and human urine (odour & stain removal treatment)
- Remove as much of the urine as possible with a paper towel or absorbent wipe.
- Apply Pee Off undiluted and saturate the surface at the source of the odour or stain.
- Allow the product to dwell on the surface. Leave it and do not rinse off.
Urinal maintenance (spray method)
- Spray Pee Off liberally onto the urinals and surrounding surfaces including tile, grout, stainless and painted surfaces.
- Leave to dry, or wipe off excess liquid with a cloth.
Waterless urinal (initial deep clean treatment & maintenance)
- Turn the water off to the urinal.
- Apply Pee Off undiluted to the whole urinal and drain area via a spray bottle.
- Scrub the entire urinal with a white scourer pad to remove uric acid and hard water build-up, and reduce the population of malodour-causing germs.
- Rinse with cold water using a watering can.
- Spray Pee Off liberally onto the urinals and surrounding surfaces including tile, grout, stainless and painted surfaces.
- Place Gee Wizz blocks, or Aussie Pearl or Pee On It urinal screens, into the urinal. Use one per single trough. In multi-trough urinals, place one block every 50 to 60cm. Replace blocks when they’re 80% dissolved.
- Job's done! Now the water savings begin and any smells will go away. Repeat the deep clean treatment at least once a week.
Floor cleaning and maintenance (mopping method)
- Dilute at 4:1, which is 4 parts water to 1 part Pee Off (200ml of Pee Off per litre of water). For maintenance mopping and cleaning of floors, dilute at 20:1, which is 20 parts water to 1 part Pee Off (50ml Pee Off per litre of water).
- Immerse the mop into the bucket. Soak. Give the mop a light wring.
- Apply generously to the surface and leave. No need to rinse or dry.
Handy tips
- To get the best out of Pee Off, don’t rinse it. Let the bacteria eat the bacteria :)
- Urinals, toilet bowls and urine-affected areas are best treated late at night or when they are least used.
- Pee Off must make physical contact with the source of the odour and be given time to work.
- If odours continue, follow-up treatments may be required to get on top of the problem.
- For really dirty areas, pre-cleaning will help the treatment work better. For pre-cleaning, do not use any sanitisers, disinfectants, or any antimicrobial, chlorine or peroxide-based products unless all residue is completely removed before treatment.
- Treatment is safe on wool and synthetic carpet. It is not suitable for stain-resistant nylon fibres.
- Store the product with the lid tightly closed, in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
- Test first to ensure the product and the method will not affect surfaces.
- Do not dilute with hot water. Dilute with water under 40°C.
- Only choose a waterless urinal system if you really have to, for example because of water restrictions or shortages. Even waterless urinals still need flushing at least once a day with a watering can, bucket or hose.
- XO2® Gee Wizz urinal blocks are the perfect match for Pee Off in stainless steel troughs and waterless urinal systems. They use the same proactive bacteria technology and other goodies as Pee Off does.
Is Pee Off pet-friendly?
Yes. When used as directed, it is safe for pets and humans.
Is Pee Off septic-safe?
Yes. Not only is it septic-safe, it's really beneficial to your septic system.
I have a seriously bad urine smell in my toilet area. What do I do?
- Give the toilet area a good shock treatment with Bravo, Wonder Gel or Pee Off. Apply, scrub, leave, scrub, rinse. Get into the grout lines and in, around, behind, inside, outside and underneath the toilet bowl and lid. If the toilet seat lid is old, smelly or discoloured, remove it for cleaning and consider replacing it. Old toilet seat lids are well known for harbouring odour and bacteria in the pores of the plastic.
- Apply Pee Off and leave it. Do not rinse off.
- Repeat step 2 after a few days if odours persist.
Does Pee Off work on cat and dog urine?
Yes. It's super effective on dog, cat and human urine, and it works on other organic waste including poo and vomit.
Do I need to rinse Pee Off off?
No. To get the best out of it, don't rinse it. Let the bacteria eat the bacteria.
Will it stop my pet urinating in the same spot?
Pee Off eliminates the uric acid crystals that cause the odours, which also helps stop pets from urinating in the same spot.
Is Pee Off safe on carpet?
It's safe on wool and synthetic carpet. It is not suitable for stain-resistant nylon fibres.
What if the smell is still there after I've treated it?
Pee Off must make physical contact with the source of the odour and be given time to work. Follow-up treatments may be needed. For really dirty areas, pre-clean first, but don't use sanitisers, disinfectants, antimicrobial, chlorine or peroxide-based products unless all residue is completely removed.
Can I use hot water with Pee Off?
No. Don't dilute it with hot water. Use water under 40°C.
Is Pee Off safe for the environment?
Yes. It's eco-friendly and biodegradable, and it's a refillable system.
