Defoamer
There are 3 popular ways to use Bubble Buster defoamer...
Option 1: Spray around the inside of tank
Spray or apply (undiluted) directly by trigger or cloth to the sides and bottom of the tank rather than just pouring it into the bottom of the dirty water recovery tank.
Option 2: Suck it up through the vacuum hose
If the vacuum system is sealed, for a fast option you can slowly suck up 1 to 2 cups of diluted defoamer solution into the end of the hose while the vacuum is on.
Option 3: Apply directly to the surface being extracted
For severe cases of residue and foaming, spray diluted defoamer solution directly onto the carpet or hard floor before extraction. You may need to repeat these procedures throughout the cleaning process as your tanks fill and empty to ensure sufficient defoaming action is always present. To avoid any residue being left on the surface and to protect your machinery in the best way possible, always use in the recovery tank not the detergent or clean water solution tank.
Handy hints
- Bubble Buster is most effective when applied over the entire surface that foam will contact.
- Always use Bubble Buster in the dirty water recovery tank of a machine, not the clean water solution tank.
- The rate and frequency of defoamer use may increase if the surface being cleaned contains excessive residues.
What does Bubble Buster do?
It combats foam in extraction and wet vacuum cleaning systems. Its silicone foam-collapse formula knocks foam down and helps protect vacuum motors from foam damage.
Where do I put Bubble Buster?
In the recovery or dirty water tank of the machine. Never put it in the clean water solution tank or the detergent tank.
How do I apply Bubble Buster?
The most popular way is to spray it undiluted, to the sides and bottom of the recovery tank. This works better than just pouring it into the bottom of the recovery tank.
Can I use it with a sealed vacuum system?
Yes. With the vacuum on, slowly suck up 1 to 2 cups of diluted defoamer solution into the end of the vacuum hose.
What do I do if the foaming is severe?
You can spray diluted defoamer solution directly onto the carpet or hard floor before extraction. You may need to repeat the process as your tanks fill and empty, so there's always enough defoaming action present.
Do I dilute Bubble Buster?
Bubble Buster is ready-to-use, however some methods of application can use a diluted defoamer solution.
How much Bubble Buster and how often?
The rate and frequency of use may increase if the surface being cleaned has excessive residues. Bubble Buster is most effective when applied over the entire surface the foam will touch.

Does Bubble Buster work in hot or cold water?
Yes. It disperses in hot or cold water.
Will Bubble Buster affect cleaning performance?
